Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Update

There were many who were waiting for the Ice Cream Sandwich update on the Samsung Galaxy S2, mainly those who are owners. The much anticipated Android 4.0 update for the Galaxy S2 was finally released on March of this year. There were many who said update as early as March 15 of this year.

Those who do not know, the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich was launched last year. It is also the latest addition of the Android OS. It comes with lots of improvements and new features as well. Those who have not yet updated the Ice Cream Sandwich have definitely enjoyed the Samsung Galaxy S2 combined with Gingerbread OS, you can be sure to benefit from the latest OS.

During the MWC 2012, there are many new handsets that featured the famous and latest Android OS. Samsung is doing its best to push the update to the Galaxy S2 before the release of the Samsung Galaxy S3. The Galaxy S3 as we all know has amazing features, functions and specifications which will soon surpass the selling prowess of the Samsung flagship.

Android’s camera were lacking in its previous versions, this time they have come up with some great improvements that were gained with some help from Samsung. Android v4.0 devices will now have 1080p video, the shutter lag has been removed, easier photo and video sharing, tap-to-focus, face detection, photo filters, and a photo-stitching panorama mode that allows you to move the camera to take one continuous picture.

Android fans were waiting for many of these features for a long period of time. You can now share captured photos to Google+, text message, Bluetooth, Email and Picasa with ease and edit them as well. There has been an update on the notification bar and menu styles. Widgets can now be re-sized and instead of hard buttons, virtual buttons and system bars can be used across all applications

Another positive aspect of purchasing an Android phone is that it is not so expensive like an iPhone or other devices in the market. Games of this operating system are famous and are another reason why users purchase Android phones.

May it be Samsung, HTC or Sony, Android on any device is simply fascinating.
