Specifications of the Easypix EasyPad 970 is excellent. Its screen is exactly the same as the original iPad and the iPad 2 (in terms of size, aspect ratio, resolution, color saturation and fairly deep blacks). Viewing angles are quite good, so is the pixel density. The device has a very solid build quality as it has a matt-silver aluminium alloy back and feels well put together.
Operating system of the tablet is that of Android v2.3, which can be immediately upgraded to Android v4.0 using the application on the Easypix website. Performance of the tablet is great and is pretty impressive for a reasonably priced tablet.
Performance of the tablet is backed by a 1.2 GHz single-core processor, which may not be as good, compared to that of the iPad 3 or Asus Transformer Prime, but does the job impressively. Flipping from screen to screen is reasonably smooth, with minor lags at times, for example, in Google Play it seems to stutter a bit, and it takes a while to load stuff in Google Earth, but that could be partly down to my internet connection.
Applications such as Angry Birds, Google Reader, the stock web browser, Flixster etc. run quite well. The device has 1 GB of RAM which is definitely better than what one would expect at this price. Lastly, the EasyPad 970 comes with an 8000 mAh battery which is excellent and it virtually uses no power in standby mode.
Overall, the EasyPad 970 tablet would be a great choice for those who are looking for reasonably priced tablets offering top notch features and functions.
