iOS 6 Will Be Available to Download From 19 September

The buzz about iPhone 5 and all rumors surrounding it has finally dissolved, after the company announced its specifications. The new Apple smartphone will definitely come with iOS 6, occupying several advantages over its previous versions.

Most of you may ask, if you can download iOS 6 on the Apple device you currently own? Firstly, the latest Apple mobile operating system will be available from 19 September. Trying to download on that day might not be profitable, according to previous experiences, unless of course, you enjoy an error message or very long download times.

You will definitely need the right tablet or smartphone though, which is where bad news comes in. Apple is offering the iOS 6 upgrade for the iPhone 4S, iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS, along with the latest iPad, the iPad 2 and the iPod touch. So if your iPhone is older than that or if you still have the original iPad, it’s sadly the end of the update line.

The iOS 6 was first announced back in June but nothing has really changed since then. Of course, that means no YouTube if you’re rocking an iPad, but it does compensate with a variety of new features.

Some of the new and exciting features include, deeper Facebook integration, a new Maps application, Apple’s Passbook digital ticketing and Do Not Disturb features, enhanced Safari (although you’ll need the larger screen for the full effect) and enhanced Siri, again if your device is compatible. However, all of these features may not be available in UK, which could be a bad news for Apple fans in this region.
