iPhone 5 Features – What Brits Won’t Get

All these rumors and allegations around the internet regarding specifications of the iPhone 5 were revealed after the device was launched last night.

The iPhone 5 looked to be lightweight, thin, 4G capable, with elegant and shiny attributes. Siri after its release last year on the iPhone 4S, received amazing response from people all over the world. It now looks to have suffered some kind of mid-flight dementia, losing most of useful features. The lack of local search information, for example, was a glaring omission that left wallowing alone in the depths of our iPhone, unloved and unused.

In iOS 6, thankfully many of Siri’s functionality have been restored in iOS 6, which the new iPhone 5 will be grooving upon its release on 21 September. You can get information about local services, request cinema times and movie information, and get updates on sports results. However, reserving tables at restaurants are only available to users in the US.

We’re also getting most of the new Maps features, including traffic updates, turn-by-turn navigation, satellite maps and business search with photos. However, only our American cousins get the cool 3D flyover effects (the one bit of the presentation that looked really cool).

You can visit Apple’s website to check out iOS 6′s new features and see which ones will be cut off from the UK version.
