If you are looking to purchase a new Android smartphone then there are two new handsets worth considering. The HTC One X and the Samsung Galaxy S3 are regarded as two of the ultimate Android devices occupying superb specification and excellent design.
In this article we will compare both these smartphones and find out the better between them.
Display of the HTC One X is 4.7 inches to that of S3 of 4.8 inches. Samsung has an edge with its Super AMOLED display, while HTC used a completely new IPS 2 panel that provides vivid colors in their right saturation, making the viewing excellent from all angles.
When viewing contents on them you will notice that colors of HTC are more realistic compared to the deep colors of Samsung. Both these handsets have 720 pixels HD resolution.
Processing

Samsung Galaxy S3 vs HTC One X
The Galaxy S3 has the upper hand when it comes to processing with its Exynos quad core processor compared to HTC’s Tegra 3 processor. When it comes to memory, the S3 has three versions that of 16 GB, 32GB and 64 GB, with options to expand memory using microSD slots up to 64 GB.
On the other hand, the HTC One X has internal memory of 32 GB. The storage capacity of the One X is sufficient for most users but might not apply for those that carry large amounts of media on their phones. Both these devices come with similar RAM of 1 GB each.
The S3 allows for memory expansion and therefore has more advantage in this division.
Dimensions
When it comes to design the Galaxy S3 is quite dull and uninspiring. The HTC phone comes with a more appealing appearance and has great quality making you feel honored to just hold it. The S3 is thinner than the One X but is not built as good as that of One X. Dimensions of S3 are 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6 mm and the One X 134.4 x 69.9 x 8.9 mm.
Software
Both the Galaxy S3 and the One X run on Android Ice Cream Sandwich v4.0. The S3 has the Touch Wiz Nature UX as compared to the Sense 0.4 of the One X. The Sense is artistic with many weather widgets and 3D effects. It is a lot more resource savvy as well. It is more fancy than practical.
On the other hand, the TouchWiz is known to be fashionable, simple and has a more spontaneous layer of Ice Cream Sandwich. Smart Stay and S-voice are some of the unique features which add a practical touch to the software of the Galaxy S3.
Both the Samsung and the HTC masterpiece have 8 Megapixel cameras. They come with many innovative features which set them apart from the competition in the market. Both their cameras include Sweep panorama shots and the ability to simultaneously capture both still images and video footage.
Overall, the Samsung’s Galaxy S3 may look nice but it doesn’t feel as robust as the HTC One X.
